Case Study: Customized Power Solution for an OƯset Printing Machine
Eliminating External Transformers with a Space-EƯicient Integrated UPS Solution
A tailored power solution delivering precise voltage output while optimizing space, cost, and equipment protection.
Client Snapshot
- Industry: Printing / Offset Printing
- Machine: Offset Printing Machine
- Location: Industrial Setup
- UPS Capacity: 80kVA Online UPS with Inbuilt Isolation Transformer
- Special Requirement: 200V Phase-to-Phase Output
The Challenge
The client required a stable 200V phase-to-phase output for their offset printing machine, which is highly sensitive to voltage variations.
Conventionally, this would require:
- A separate step-down transformer
- Additional cabling and installation complexity
- Increased capital cost
However, the site also had significant space constraints, making it difficult to accommodate multiple large electrical components.
In addition to this, the client was facing:
- Neutral leakage issues
- Input power disturbances affecting machine performance
- Risk of damage to sensitive electronics
The client needed a solution that could:
- Deliver the required voltage output
- Fit within limited available space
- Protect the machine from electrical issues
- Reduce overall system complexity and cost
Solution Provided
We designed and deployed a customized 80kVA Online UPS with an inbuilt stepdown isolation transformer, eliminating the need for any external transformer.
Key Features of the Solution:
- Direct 200V phase-to-phase output from the UPS
- Inbuilt isolation transformer for enhanced protection
- Compact, integrated design ideal for space-constrained environments
- Clean and stable power tailored for printing applications
Why This Solution Was Effective
